Does Manus always output plain HTML?
Not always. Depending on your prompt, Manus may generate a React, Vue, or other framework-based project. If so, you'll need to run npm install and npm run build before uploading. To get plain HTML output that doesn't need a build step, specify in your prompt: 'create the website using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript without any frameworks.' Plain HTML projects upload directly to Static.app without compilation.
Do I need to run any build commands?
Usually not. Manus often outputs plain HTML files ready to host. If it generates a React/Vue project, run npm run build first, then ZIP the output.
Can Manus host websites?
Manus builds websites but doesn't provide permanent hosting. It generates the files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) as a downloadable project. To make a Manus-generated website publicly accessible, download the files, ZIP them with index.html at the root, and upload to Static.app. Your website gets a permanent URL, automatic SSL, and stays online as long as your Static.app subscription is active.
Can I use Manus with a CMS?
Manus can generate static pages that pull content from a headless CMS API at build time. For a simpler approach, edit content directly in the HTML files using Static.app's code editor.
What if Manus generates broken code?
Test the website locally first by opening index.html in your browser. Check for visual issues and broken functionality. If something's wrong, go back to Manus and describe the problem specifically. You can also fix issues directly in Static.app's code editor after uploading. Common problems include broken image paths (update the src attribute), missing CSS files (make sure they're included in the ZIP), and JavaScript errors (check the browser console).
Can I update the website?
Yes. Ask Manus to regenerate the project with your changes, download the new version, ZIP it, and re-upload to Static.app. The update goes live in seconds at the same URL. For smaller changes (text edits, color adjustments, image swaps), use Static.app's built-in code editor to modify files directly in your browser without going back to Manus.
